About

Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship stands as a beacon of inspiration, dedicated to ignite a passion for innovation and entrepreneurship among students, researchers, and the wider community. The concept of establishing the centre was originated in 2018 when the University of Calicut and the Kerala Start-Up Mission (KSUM) signed an MOU to establish a fabrication laboratory (FabLab) on the campus. The projected gained momentum, under the leadership of Prof. MK Jayaraj, who assumed the role as the Vice-Chancellor. An 8000 square feet space was identified and transformed into the centre. It features a spacious incubation centre, and a fully equipped FabLab, and dedicated training and skill place. The Centre was officially inaugurated on 16.01.2024 by the Honourable Minister for Public Works, Tourism, and Youth Affairs, Sri P. A. Mohammed Riyas.
